Gas Cooling Applications

• Nozzles and lances are used for cooling in a wide variety of cement processing applications to control process temperatures and protect downstream equipment.

Common applications:

• Gas cooling tower and bypass cooler
• Injection of water in the downcomer duct
• Direct injection of water into the top of the cyclone of the preheater
• Injection of water in the rear part of the clinker cooler and duct downstream of the clinker cooler
• Ball mill and roller mill

Gas Conditioning SCR/SNCR Applications

• Nozzles and lances are used to inject a reagent or series of reagents into the exhaust gas to combine and react with the gas or catalyst to remove NOx emissions.

Common applications:

• Long rotary kiln
• Calciner

Dust Suppression Applications

Area Dust Control

• Active work areas produce a lot of dust and misting nozzles are ideal for knocking down dust from the air
• Misting nozzles are often combined with fans or blowers to provide greater coverage and extended reach with the small droplet sizes that are ideal for dust control

Work Site/Dirt Road Dust Prevention

• Wide fan nozzles installed on tanker trucks or utility vehicles apply water as they drive along dirt roads to prevent dust created by vehicle travel

Conveyor and Conveyor Transfer Points

• Wetting the surface of the material on conveyors with spray nozzles to prevent dust during transportation
• Using spray nozzles to wet material at transfer points where generation of dust is highest and material exposure is greatest
